What We Do
You can control diabetes effectively and live a great life. Let the Signature Diabetes Institute help!
Diabetes, as a chronic condition, is often called the perfect disease, because it takes a significant toll on not only the patients, but their families, healthcare team, and employers, as well. It is now documented that patients with pre-diabetes and diabetes face a significantly higher risk of hospitalization, and the Diabetes Atlas released by the International Diabetes Federation indicates that 46.5% of adults with diabetes are undiagnosed. Every 6 seconds a person dies from diabetes — equal to five million deaths a year — and 12% of global health expenditure is spent on diabetes.
Alan Schorr, DO and Arvind Cavale, MD are Clinical Endocrinologists who have upwards of 45 years of clinical experience helping patients in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties manage their diabetes effectively. As early as 10 years ago, they realized that appropriate diabetes management required a continuous approach rather than an episodic one. Dr. Schorr and Dr. Cavale established the Signature Diabetes Institute to provide diabetes patients with cutting-edge care. The heart of the organization is their mission to provide top-notch personalized care to their patients based on individual health needs.
At Signature Diabetes Institute, success is based on patients' long-term good health, without the intrusion of insurance companies.
At the Signature Diabetes Institute,
we help people with diabetes and pre-diabetes effectively manage their condition and reduce the burden of diabetes in the community.
SDI for Employers
Diabetes affects people from every walk of life. Regardless of your industry, it's likely your business has been negatively impacted by diabetes. You may not realize it, but diabetes can cause significant productivity losses due to illness, absenteeism, complications from the disease, and caregiver responsibilities. Traditionally, diabetes, like other chronic diseases, has been treated in the existing medical model. But, using our innovative model of healthcare, SDI creates a framework for developing cooperative efforts among employers and employees in the treatment and care of chronic diabetes.
Using our management programs, we can help reduce absenteeism and improve productivity by providing easy, timely access for employees, as well as providing them dedicated care from health professionals who know them and understand their unique needs. Our partnership won't just help your business, it has the potential to reduce the burden of diabetes management on primary care physicians and your employees their families, as well as reducing unexpected diabetes-related events resulting in ER visits and hospitalizations.
Call us today to find out how a partnership with SDI can help put your team on the path to health and productivity.
